Tasting Notes
This Pinot may get you thinking - If many a Central Otago Pinot lean towards ripe full fruits, oak and alcohol warmth; why do some not! Decanted, the mid-priced Picnic Pinot missed those characteristics for me. Here were smells like spices and roots, sitting above berry fruits. It was savoury fruit on the taste too; with tannins of the earth, fine but chalky. Another Otago is welcome! - Michael L
