Tasting Notes
This is fancy Pizza wine, but it's also a really good match to some more sophisticated dishes. Morellino is the name for Sangiovese in the southern reaches of Tuscany around the town of Scansano. Farmed organically and produced in the winery with very minimal inputs. Typical cherry and raspberry fruits with fine mouth-filling tannin without the obvious use of oak. A beautiful reflection of place. - Chris L
Less is more! Minimal intervention or Lo-fi wines encapsulate those producers who keep additions and manipulations to a minimum during the winemaking process. This means the wines are wild fermented, unfiltered and unfined, and only add sulfur during the process.
