Tasting Notes
Now we get some Perrières red to go with the white! Driving south on the D974, Les Perrières is the first Pommard vineyard on the right after leaving the commune of Beaune, under the famed Clos des Epeneaux. Dancer farms just under one hectare, planted in 2012. He works with very low yields to achieve the textural richness and seduction you find here.
It’s really pretty and succulent Pommard, and while the nose screams of the village, the floral, juicy palate and silk-spun tannins could trick you into thinking you are in Chambolle! Expect ripe, dark cherry fruit laced with lavender and spice on the nose. Then the palate is sleek, with pulpy fruit hemmed in by fine tannins and just the right amount of crunch. Gorgeous. - Importer Note
