Tasting Notes
This is excellent Riesling from Mount Gambier in South Australia. I can't think of any other Rieslings that I've had from Mount Gambier but if they are all like this then the region deserves more attention. The wine is fermented and aged in stainless steel with a few grams of residual sugar left to add balance to the wine. It's all about the interplay between citrus and lifted floral/musk characters that take the wine to another level. A great wine it's own right and probably even better with South East Asian food. - Pete L
Less is more! Minimal intervention or Lo-fi wines encapsulate those producers who keep additions and manipulations to a minimum during the winemaking process. This means the wines are wild fermented, unfiltered and unfined, and only add sulfur during the process.
