Tasting Notes
This is the winery's take on a 'village' Pinot, pulled from the younger and grafted vines across the Avon Vineyard and built to capture Gippsland as a whole rather than any single corner of it. Three clones (MV6, Abel and 114) are hand picked, gently destemmed and given a long ferment before ten months in big 1800L foudres, and what you get in the glass is vibrant, open and unmistakably Gippsland. Gorgeously perfumed, all lifted five spice, black cherry and a hint of florals, then generous and medium-bodied with a tight line of acidity that keeps pulling you back for another glass. - Pete L
