Foradori are one of the most iconic estates of the Dolomites region of northeast Italy, nestled amongst the mountains and valleys. Foradori have been farming biodynamically since 2002 (certified by Demeter in '09) and champion the local varieties of the region: Terodelgo, Pinot Grigio, Nosiola and Manzoni Bianco to make wines of authenticity and place. Today Foradori is run by the family's fourth generation of winemakers: Emilio manages wine production, while Theo oversees the winery’s business and commerce; Myrtha takes care of Foradori’s farming and gradual expansion and the mother Elisabetta Foradori is still a supporting act behind the scenes.

"Our daily farming gestures are elevated to creative impulses: it is our duty and privilege to wake up every morning and to be free to work according to the message that the earth conveys to us in that moment."

Luke Lambert

Luke Lambert is one of the smartest little producers from Victoria's prized Yarra Valley region, where he crafts beautiful single-vineyard wines from the Denton View Hill Vineyard in Yarra Glen, Upper Yarra. All of these wines are from a single-vineyard, handpicked, wild yeast fermented and bottled without fining or filtration and all wines are aged in large French and Slavonian oak foudre. While Luke makes some insanely good Chardonnay and Syrah, his Nebbiolo is his flagship wine as it is the grape that has captivated him the most.

I was hooked on Nebbiolo from the first glass. Just seemed to be such a different and complex and most food perfect wine variety I’d ever come across

Luke's extensive travels throughout Europe has opened his eyes to the possibility of the Nebbiolo grape to produce hauntingly beautiful and perfumed wines that are perfect with food. He considers the wines of Barolo, Gattinara and Valtellina to be the very best in the world. Very few Australian examples of Nebbiolo manage to go toe-to-toe with the Nebbiolo of Piemonte, but Luke's is one of the few that can. Many collector's are already clued in to what Luke is doing with Nebbiolo down in Yarra Valley so we don't expect these to last very long on our shelves - if you don't want to miss out on this beautiful wine then pick some up now!
