Tasting Notes
A more restrained and lighter expression of Cabernet; this is much more red-fruited with a hint of some blueberry and a crisp mineral streak. Medium-bodied on the palate with tannins that are not harsh whatsoever for a Cabernet of this age. Little to no oak imprint on this wine. This can be drunk now or with a bit more age. It is close to impossible to find a Cabernet this good at this price. - Aaron C.
Introducing Gullyview Estate. This is the new project from Jono, formerly working with his brother Damon Koerner at Koerner Wines (whose wine we also love and stock as well) and his partner Megan Jenkins. Now focusing on his own project with heaps of experience under his belt, he has been able to produce some amazing wines at a fantastic price point.
Based in southern Clare Valley, these vineyards are located between an altitude of 350m-450m above sea level on Terra Rossa, red clay over limestone soils. The climate and nature of this site allows Jono to create wines with crisp acidity and elegance.
