Tasting Notes
Adrien Camut 6-Year-Old Calvados is a distinguished apple brandy from the Pays d'Auge region in Normandy, France. The Camut family, cultivating apple orchards since the 1800s, grows approximately 25 traditional apple varieties on their 45-hectare estate.
This Calvados is crafted from cider aged in oak barrels for about a year before undergoing double distillation in wood-fueled copper pot stills. The spirit is then matured in French oak casks for six years, during which it is frequently transferred between vessels to promote oxidation and flavor development. The result is a Calvados with fresh apple aromas, subtle oak notes, and flavors of caramelized apples and spice. Its lively character makes it an excellent choice for after-dinner enjoyment or pairing with chocolate desserts. - Aaron C
