Under François Jobard, Antoine’s father, this cuvée became a benchmark Genevrières. Some would say the benchmark. Antoine’s wines have only furthered that claim. The Jobard’s 0.54-hectare parcel lies next to the iconic Genevrières cabotte (or workers cottage) in Genevrières Dessous and the vines are 35 years old. Out of interest, Antoine’s cousin, Rémi Jobard’s vines lie on the opposite Meursault side of the cabotte. Regardless, year in, year out, this is a wine of great depth, purity and intensity.
