Tasting Notes
Great Western (Grampians) reds love a good decant after opening to unwind the restrained latent fruit power. With this Best's Shiraz you will then get this lively rounded mouthful of blue and red fruits, a touch of pepper spice and fine chalky tannins. Mid-weight, thanks to the Grampians elevation and cool air mainly overnight. Oak in background. 13.5% alc. Just don't expect this without a good decant and wine temperature about 16 degrees! - Michael L
We love supporting historical vineyards and producers like Best's in Great Western, Victoria. They produce consistent, high-quality wines that are very varietal and pure fruited. The Cabernet Sauvignon displays cassis fruits and some typical leafy characters. The palate is round and perfectly ripe, with a fine line of tannin. Drink now or over the next 10 years. - Chris L
