Tasting Notes
A blend of vineyards-Fossati, San Lorenzo, Ravera and Bricco San Pietro - all vinified separately. This vintage, the ‘Classico’ wine sees a relatively short maceration time of around 15 days. Wonderful fresh floral aromatics here, teamed with a myriad of dried herbs and freshly cut fennel. The palate displays ripe and approachable fruits like red currants with hints of dark cherries, liquorice and a saline mineral note all framed beautifully by fresh acidity and firm yet polished tannins. - Importer Note
The Brezza private estate lies next to the small town of Barolo, immersed in the vineyards, as is the nearby Hotel Barolo and Restaurant Brezza, also property of the Brezza family.
The estate extends over 31 hectars, of which 20 are vineyards, some dating back to 1885. The wines are all certified as DOCG 'Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita " (controlled and guaranteed appellation of origin) or DOC 'Denominazione Origine Controllata " (controlled appellation of origin). ‚– Winery Note
