Tasting Notes
Bright red and young. On the nose it is intriguing and generous, notes of bergamot, wild violet, cherry and morello cherry stand out. On the palate it is relaxed and harmonious, intense and succulent. The finish is of great balance, clear, savory and pressing. It presents a great drink but will be best enjoyed in a few years. - Winery Note
Situated in the northeastern sector of Montalcino, Casanova di Neri meticulously tends to seven distinct vineyards across the region – from Fiesole, Poderuccio, Le Cetine, to Montalcino. This strategic approach enables the creation of several well-balanced unique wines , consistently reflecting the diverse soils, exposures, microclimates, and vine ages, defining the unique identity of each vintage. These wines possess an enchanting allure, evoking imagination.
Established in 1971 by Giovanni Neri, the visionary torchbearer for the potential of Montalcino's wine territory, the legacy seamlessly passed on to his son, Giacomo, in 1991. The journey began in the eastern part of Montalcino and expanded into other areas, acquiring unique terroirs such as Cerretalto, Le Cetine, Pietradonice, and Podernovo.
