Winemaker Jean-François Paillard has put an enormous amount of work into the Carte Blanche over the years, and it has paid dividends. In our view the only large firm producing an NV of this quality is Charles Heidsieck, and you'll need to pay $85.00 for that. This one is wonderfully fresh, with bready autolysis overtones and a very fine mousse ‚– classic champagne in fact. - Lester Gesberg
