Every year these wines get just a little bit better. The variety is Prieto Picundo, a Spanish variety not often found in Australia, but is well suited to the hot climate of the Riverland (SA). Cloud Project aka Wedded to the Weather is the micro-winery of wine old-timer Doug Woodward. Doug's a lovely bloke from Brisbane who travels the country sourcing unique parcels of fruit. You'll see varieties like Vermentino, Prieto Picudo, Durif and Alfrocherio to name a few. They are produced with minimal intervention and are made to be enjoyed young. They're super fun, glug-able wines.
