Tasting Notes
This is the new release of the incredible 2021 vintage. Bin 0 is made to be an age worthy style and has been the undisputed icon of Great Western Shiraz for many decades. Made from the three-shiraz blocks surrounding our Concongella winery; Bart’s Block from 1966, Sparky’s Block from 1970 and a selection from our White Gravels Hill block planted in the early 1990’s. It is internationally acclaimed as one of Australia’s great Shiraz wines, noted as classified by Langton’s in their latest Classification.
A delicious coupling of red and black primary fruits. Tones of red cherry, cranberry, blackberry, bramble. Complex creamy mid-palate of clove, cinnamon, and dried herb. Rich, chocolate tannins coat the mouth, and are well balanced with medium acidity. - Producer Note
We love supporting historical vineyards and producers like Best's in Great Western, Victoria. They produce consistent, high-quality wines that are very varietal and pure fruited. The Cabernet Sauvignon displays cassis fruits and some typical leafy characters. The palate is round and perfectly ripe, with a fine line of tannin. Drink now or over the next 10 years. - Chris L
