Tasting Notes
It's been closed-up for a while, so we let it get re-aquainted with air and warm towards 10-12 degrees for a little. Loved the oxidative nutty notes on the nose and palate, then came the ripe and so clean savoury peachy fruit, with the acidity hiding behind it all. Loved it with our vegetarian pasta, bacon bits and cream sauce. Special wine from a unique guy. - Michael L
Dario Princic, an iconic wine producer from the Friuli region. Farmed organically since 1988, the soils are made up of clay, limestone & marl. This Jakot spends around 20 days on skins and spontaneously ferments in large open chestnut cask and ages in very old barriques for 2 years before it goes to bottle. - Importer Note
