Tasting Notes
A Pinot Noir from two parcels of fruit in the north of Burgundy in the appelation of Marsannay. It’s pretty young at the moment, with heightened sense of deep & darker red fruit aromas and remaining hints of toasty oak in the mix; all characteristics typical of the Marsannay appellation. Importantly, this fruit is powerful, with acidity and accompanying dark spices & ripe, long, fine chalky tannins - everything you want for a longer living pinot! 13.5% alc. That structure is so good!

I never thought I would refer to anything from Burgundy as good value, yet here we are. Beautiful bouquet of red cherry, strawberry, cranberry, rose, violet, sweet spices, smoke, a touch of underbrush and some black cherry pops its head through with more air. Fruit, florals and oak in harmony. Refreshing acidity and nice fine-grained tannins giving this some backbone. Incredible stuff. - Aaron C.
