Tasting Notes
The Escoda Sanahuja Els Bassotets is a natural wine that changes it's blend year to year. In 2018 the blend is 70% Macabeo and 30% Chenin Blanc. The wine is bright and fresh with striking acidity and a fine texture on the palate from a light maceration on skins. Expect the wine to be a little cloudy as it is unfiltered and unfined. Delicious! - Chris L
Escoda Sanahuja was created in 1997 by Joan Ramon and Marie Carme. Their 10 hectares of vineyard are located in the Conca de Barbera region in the Catalunya (north-eastern Spain) and are farmed using biodynamic practices. The wines are produced naturally, without any additions or subtractions.
