Tasting Notes
Puglia must be the new trendy place for Aussie travellers as we keep having people coming into the shop asking for Primitivo. It's not really surprising though as it's a style of wine that suits the Aussie palate very well and wines like this are a perfect example. The fruit for this is organically farmed and produced without new oak. It's more of a mid weight fresher style of Primitivo that balances the riper blue and blackberry characters with acidity steering away from the styles that are dominated by fruit sweetness. Really good. - Pete L
Less is more! Minimal intervention or Lo-fi wines encapsulate those producers who keep additions and manipulations to a minimum during the winemaking process. This means the wines are wild fermented, unfiltered and unfined, and only add sulfur during the process.
