Tasting Notes
Cropped at 600kgs per tonne, matured in one new French hogshead and two used French barriques for 24 months. Deep, dense purple-crimson, it is saturated with black fruits, spices galore and cracked pepper. The fruit has swallowed the new French oak, and the 80 dozen bottled will disappear like water on desert sand. - James Halliday Wine Companion
When Col and Fiona left Melbourne to do a two week stint at Murray Street Vineyards in the Barossa they didn't expect that Col would decide then and there that they would settle in the valley. But they did. They bought a little vineyard high up in the Eden Valley along the Flaxman's Valley and the rest is history. They have since rejuvenated the vineyard and the quality of wines he produces from them along with some fruit he gets from his mates further down the valley is getting better and better. Of particular note his Sparkling Shiraz is one of the best of its type that come from the region. - Chris L
