Tasting Notes
Elegant Barossa is a wonderful goal, and I think Fredrick Stevenson has achieved that with his Pinata. Here we have a blend of fragrance and fruity, spicy and beetroot body. 12% alc. Blended Cinsault, Grenache, Shiraz and Mourvedre give a savoury bend to a lively and glugable red. Fine silky tannins with enough acidity. Reminds me of some fine Loire reds of recent times too - who would have thought? - Michael L
Freddie Stevenson sources biodynamic fruit from regions around South Australia. Everything is small batch here, and minimal intervention is a must. The wines are fun and lively in the glass and speak of the regions in which they come. Never overblown or overdone.
