A new producer from Murrambateman, just down the road from Clonakilla. This young vine riesling shows, after a short opening period, good pure citrus and white stonefruit characters to smell and taste, with fine acid support. Good fruit. Michael L
The small Gounyan vineyard is located just outside Murrembateman in the Canberra District (NSW).the vineyard is owned and operated by Roger Johnstone and Deirdre Macken, and the wines are made by Alex McKay of Collector Wines. The vineyard is planted to Riesling, Shiraz/Syrah and Sangiovese on the classic granite soils of the region.
