Tasting Notes
Made in a pale, bone dry style inspired by Provence, this rosé blends Trollinger with Adelaide Hills red varieties to create a soft watermelon pink colour and a gently fragrant nose of apple skin and light red fruits. The palate is fresh and lively, full of bright berry flavours supported by natural acidity and a touch of fine texture that carries into the crisp, dry finish. It’s a versatile, seafood-friendly wine that also shines with vibrant Asian dishes, and it has the structure to develop gracefully in the cellar for several years. - Aaron C
Hahndorf Hill is a cool-site Adelaide Hills winery founded by Larry Jacobs. The estate specialises in varieties that thrive in the Hills’ elevation and long, slow ripening, most notably Grüner Veltliner and Blaufränkisch, alongside Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Grigio and Sauvignon Blanc. The soils lean on sandstone-rich loam and clay over fractured rock, harvested by hand, cool fermented and handled with modest oak only where required, preserving aromatic lift, freshness and moderate alcohol elegance.
