Tasting Notes
Aromatic wine of chewy texture and brisk acidity. It's part lemon sherbet, part farmhouse cider, part juicy white. All the good bits of wild-edged winemaking, one could say. Good scents of lemon curd, dried flowers, bruised apple, egg shell, brown lime and faint clay. The palate is lively in jittery freshness with a sluice of lime-apple flavours rushing through. Chalkiness, a touch muddy but giving grip, comes mid mouthful and finishes the wine. Plenty to enjoy here, and quite a unique personality, is the message. Small wine bars ahoy! - Mike Bennie
