Tasting Notes
Tikka tikka boom!! At one point the wine was there and then it was gone. This wine will get you into trouble, but in the best way possible. It's another lip smacker (trademark) from James Erskine. 85% Ralphs dry grown shiraz and 15% Lillies Octogenarian Grenache. - Chris L
James Erskine is a man with genuine passion for his wines and while that may not be unique in the wine world, James is one of the more uniquely creative people in the wine world that you are ever likely to meet. The grapes for this wine come from the Wood Vineyard planted by Ralph Wood in 1988 along the Clarendon Ridge in South Australia skirting the boundary of Adelaide Hills and McLaren Vale. All the vines are grown organically without the use of additional water and remain on their original root-stock planted on sandy red-grey over ironstone bedrock.
