Tasting Notes
Pinot Gris I’ve tasted have a wide range of styles. Some fruity, others for me combine both juicy fruit and a sense of vine stalks. Occasionally even a raspberry bite (“raspy”). This Adelaide Hills one is a skin-contact white wine of whole bunches of grapes and stalks (Orange wine), plus carbonic maceration (carbon dioxide is added to the mix), then foot-stomped. Expect that complex raspy bite. Interestingly, here the wine gives-off fruits plus a refreshing tannin bite too. 12+% alc. It’s left field and it’s intriguing and even moorish with with a pie and veggies. - Michael L
