Tasting Notes
The natural wine producer Meigamma has dabbled in Vermouth here. Made from Carignano (aka Carignan) wine and macerated with roots, herbs, flowers and citrus, all native and naturally grown on their property in Sardinia. It's a delicious, intense and dry style of red vermouth. - Chris L
Founded in the Sardinian coastal town of Villasimius in 2006 by Giuseppe & Barbara Pusceddu. Here they organically farm native Sardinian varietals such as Cannonau, Muristellu, Nasco, Nuragus & Vermentino. Meigamma in Southern Sardinian dialect means "rest after lunch". This sums up the makers philosophies in life and towards making wine...... All in good time. Farming is Organic and in the Cantina, wines are fermented with native yeasts & have absolutely no additions or sulphites added. Production is approximately 7500 bottles per year. - Michael Zaccaria
