Tasting Notes
A unique blend of Italian varietals - Vermentino, Fiano and Moscato Giallo - from the Chalmers Vineyard in Heathcote (VIC). It is fermented on its skins to add depth of flavour and texture to the wine. What’s very prominent in this wine is its refreshing acidity, almost tartness, along with fine phenolics (tannins) which make it a great food wine. - Chris L
Momento Mori Wines was born out of a simple desire to make wines that first and foremost have respect for the living. They are crafted with consideration and integrity throughout the entire process. And ultimately (and selfishly) are wines that I wanted to drink.
We work with like minded growers throughout Victoria to source small pockets of high quality fruit that has been nurtured with the same philosophy in mind and we are ever encouraging and striving for more sustainable and natural farming practices.
All of the wines we produce are the definition of hand-made. Small ferments, wild yeast, no oak or mechanical pumps, no fining or filtering and no additions, including no S02 at any stage of wine making or bottling.
