Tasting Notes
Loved the immediate deluge of spicey aromas that jumped out at me, with a sense of fruit ripeness. Behind that is a ménage of black and red fruits, reflecting the medium-weight field blend of grapes. Nice finish with the fine chalky texture. 13.7% alc. - Michael L
West Tamar fruit (Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir) fully destemmed, wild ferment, extended time on skins, basket pressed into old and new French oak barrels, unfined, unfiltered, cork. Dark crimson red. Cooked plum and sour cherry, vanilla, white pepper and earthy flavours. Soft attack, important amount of young tannins, full bodied with good volume and lengthy, slightly drying finish. Will show its full potential after a few years in bottle. - Winery Note
