Collection: Bourgoin

Bourgoin is a family-run Cognac estate based in the tiny village of Tarsac, near Saint-Saturnin in the Charente. Today it is led by Frédéric Bourgoin, who has taken a distinctly vigneron approach to Cognac, producing spirits that are about vineyard and terroir rather than the polished house style of the larger producers. The family vineyards are farmed organically, with the eaux-de-vie distilled and matured on the property and bottled without unnecessary manipulation. Alongside their Cognacs, Bourgoin produces an eclectic range of spirits and verjus, often experimenting with different casks, ageing and distillation techniques. These are characterful, individual spirits that offer a very different perspective on Cognac - more like the work of a small grower-producer than a traditional Cognac house.
