Tasting Notes
Picked early to retain freshness, the fruit is whole bunch pressed and fermented wild in a single 3 year old puncheon, battonage is carried out during and after fermentation (weekly for the first three months) the wine is racked once and matures in barrel for 10 months, the wine is naturally settled and bottled without fining or filtration.
In stark contrast to the Merricks, the Tuerong vineyard is one of the warmer on the Peninsula. This produces a powerful example of Chardonnay with fruit richness and profound aromatics. The '21 vintage allows for these to be reigned with tight crunchy acidity. - Winery Note
