Tasting Notes
The Casa Caterina wines have truly blown us away by the quality that is on offer here. The Del Bono brothers produce some of the most exciting wines from the Franciacorta zone of Lombardy farming biodynamic vineyards that have never been sprayed. Aurelio spent time working with Anselme Selosse which greatly influenced how he know makes his wines.
The fruit is left to fully ripen on the vine, there are no additions to the wine and zero dosage. These are vibrant, rich, powerful and opulent sparklings. Layers of fresh and baked apple, citrus with a gorgeous oxidative and leesy character. I really love this wine and have poured it blind for many people. It always gets a good reaction! - Pete L
