Tasting Notes
This Beaujolais-Villages cuvée comes from two plots located in the town of Lantignié. They are both in their first year of conversion to organic farming. The first plot is made up of young vines planted on sandy loam soil. The south-facing vines are at an altitude of 370m. The second plot is on a plateau culminating at an altitude of 490m. The vines are around forty years old. The grapes were hand harvested and vinified together in concrete vats using carbonic maceration and indigenous yeast. The wine was aged in vats for 6 months before being bottled unfined and unfiltered with very little or no sulphur. A fresh vintage on a high-altitude terroir has created a B-V with a super light colour, extremely pure, bright juicy red fruit on the nose with granite, pepper and spice. On the palate it’s really elegant with floral notes and a super light body. - Importer Note
