Tasting Notes
Françoise Martinot 'Bistrotage' Blanc de Noirs 2019 offers a vibrant and expressive profile, crafted exclusively from 100% Pinot Noir grapes harvested in 2019 from vineyards with clay-limestone soils in the Vallée de l'Arce, Côte des Bar. The nose reveals pronounced aromas of fresh fruit, including blackberry, blackcurrant, and strawberry. On the palate, it presents a zesty character with a savory finish, attributed to extended aging on the lees, which imparts complexity and a gastronomic style. The balance is achieved by a great minerality that supports the fresh fruit flavours. - Peter L
Less is more! Minimal intervention or Lo-fi wines encapsulate those producers who keep additions and manipulations to a minimum during the winemaking process. This means the wines are wild fermented, unfiltered and unfined, and only add sulfur during the process.
