I love this Cab Franc! There is plenty of fruitiness but it's tempered with a lively acid backbone and fresh, bright tannins. This is a wine that lingers on the palate with a floral, pretty, edginess and mouth-watering savoury charm. It's pretty and it dances a soft-shoe-shuffle on the tongue and would match beautifully with anything from a cured meat platter to a hearty stew...your call! - Chris L
James Erskine is a man with genuine passion for his wines and while that may not be unique in the wine world, James is one of the more uniquely creative people in the wine world that you are ever likely to meet. The grapes for this wine come from the Wood Vineyard planted by Ralph Wood in 1988 along the Clarendon Ridge in South Australia skirting the boundary of Adelaide Hills and McLaren Vale. All the vines are grown organically without the use of additional water and remain on their original root-stock planted on sandy red-grey over ironstone bedrock.
