Tasting Notes
The Fruit was sourced from a vineyard on the Southern edge of the Gundagai region near Book Book. The soils are typical to the region with dark red iron stone gravels over wind swept loam. The wine was fermented in open fermenters and pressed directly to old 500 litre French oak puncheons for 5 months. Following this period the wine finished maturation in stainless steel and was bottled in November. Bright purple colour with aromas of raspberries, blue berries and some dark earthy characters so typical of the Gundagai region. The palate is lively and juicy with fine tannins and great length. - Nick Spencer
