Tasting Notes
A rare varietal expression of Pinot Meunier, this wine is light, fragrant and full of energy. The nose shows lifted redcurrant, sour cherry and wild strawberry, laced with rose petal, crushed herbs and a gentle earthy note. On the palate it is bright and supple, with juicy red fruit carried by fine acidity and the faintest touch of savoury grip. Silky and refreshing, it’s a playful yet precise wine that captures Ochota Barrels’ hallmark vibrancy and effortless drinkability. - Chris L
Less is more! Minimal intervention or Lo-fi wines encapsulate those producers who keep additions and manipulations to a minimum during the winemaking process. This means the wines are wild fermented, unfiltered and unfined, and only add sulfur during the process.
