Tasting Notes
Based in Cuisles in the Marne Valley, fourth-generation grower Odile Thieullet farms her Meunier vineyards with biodiversity front and centre, using grazing animals and gentle pruning to keep the vines healthy and expressive. With additional parcels in Jonquery and Châtillon-sur-Marne, she works quietly and precisely in the cellar, fermenting and ageing mostly in small oak with native yeasts and minimal intervention. No stirring, no heavy handling, just time and patience, resulting in Champagnes that feel textured, characterful and deeply tied to their soils. I am not the only one to have said these wines are very reminiscent of producers like Prevost and Laval which is very high praise. - Pete L
