57% Pinot Noir, 43% Chardonnay, our 2019 Méthode Traditionnelle is the result of meticulous winemaking which honours the pinnacle of traditional sparkling wine techniques and philosophies. - Winery Note.
Ossa is a contemporary Tasmanian wine project based on the island’s east coast, overlooking the Great Oyster Bay, named after Mount Ossa—the state’s highest peak. The estate was established with a vision to create finely detailed wines that reflect Tasmania’s cool-climate potential, drawing on pristine vineyards influenced by maritime breezes, long sunshine hours and ancient soils.
The vineyard plantings focus on classic cool-climate varieties—Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah and Grüner Veltliner—cultivated with precision farming that emphasises sustainability and fruit purity. The winery follows a low-intervention philosophy: hand harvesting, wild fermentations, restrained oak use and meticulous attention to balance and texture.
Ossa’s style is defined by elegance, clarity and site expression. Their Pinot Noir and Chardonnay capture Tasmania’s hallmark tension and mineral drive, while Syrah and Grüner Veltliner showcase the diversity and adaptability of the region. In a short time, Ossa has earned recognition as one of the state’s rising stars, producing wines that are refined, expressive and true to place.
